Corporate Income Tax
The State of Nebraska utilizes a “sales only” corporate income tax formula. The Nebraska corporate income tax rates are based on federal tax income attributable to Nebraska operations. Under the sales-only formula, a corporation's taxable income is equal to the ratio of Nebraska sales to total U.S. sales times adjusted federal taxable income. The sales-only formula is advantageous for multi-state unitary firms that sell products and services outside of Nebraska while having significant property and payroll within the state.
