Charles Radatz, 26-year owner/operator of KTNC radio station (1230AM), was a champion for the grassroots economic development movement in Falls City. As the inaugural Falls City Community Redevelopment Authority (CRA) President, Charlie approved many Tax Increment Financing (TIF) projects in Falls City. Widely regarded as the most-important tool for economic development, these TIF projects will have generational impact for Falls City and its citizens.

Charlie organized the annual KTNC Farm and Home Show, featuring businesses and organizations from around the tri-state area, that brought 2,000 people to Prichard Auditorium over the weekend. As co-chairman of the Tri-State Corridor Alliance, Charlie helped organize the writing of 1,600 letters – one of the most successful letter-writing campaigns in state history – that led to a 2013 completion of the $27.7m Missouri River Bridge at Rulo.

Charlie was active in the Jaycees and acknowledged with the Community Leader Award in 2017. He is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Falls City Elks Club, was a Falls City Country Club Board Member, and Lion of the Year at the Lions Club. Charlie was an avid volunteer in economic development, noting “EDGE is all about building a better Falls City and emblematic of a community investing in its future. It is an economic development public-private partnership with a tremendous record of achievement.”
