For many years, it has been the objective of Falls City EDGE to create convenient access to diesel fuel for our ag community and transportation professionals. With the addition of Missouri River Bridge at Rulo in 2013 and Consolidated Grain & Barge’s rail-served grain-handling facility south of town around the same time, data shows an increase in semi-truck traffic through Falls City.

In an effort for the City of Falls City to capture tax revenue generated by fuel sales and provide convenient fuel access in the community, Falls City EDGE began meaningful discussions with Bosselman Enterprises executives in 2019. In the Summer of 2021, those executives were successful acquiring Sapp Brothers Gas Station and neighboring Mid-Town Service Center from the McKim Family. In December 2021 Pump & Pantry was officially part of the Falls City business community and in the early months of 2022, preparation began to install two hiflow diesel lanes. “We know Nebraskans and recognize the unique needs of the agricultural community,” says Paul Durban, Brand Manager for Pump & Pantry. “Hi-flow diesel lanes are a much needed, valuable resource for our customers in Falls City and Southeast Nebraska.”

Pump & Pantry is a family-owned operation born and grown in Nebraska with headquarters in Grand Island. For over 52 years, Pump & Pantry has been a hometown favorite for people on the go with (in January 2022) 46 stores throughout the state. Updates and renovations are ongoing to ensure that each location offers the latest in technology and convenience.

It’s exciting to partner with a company that is Nebraska Born, Nebraska Grown, and Nebraska Owned. We thank the Bosselman Family, their vision for Nebraska, and investment in Falls City to achieve mutual community goals.
